Greetings!
It's Summertime! One of my favorite times of the year! Even though, this year in the Northwest, the weather has not been doing a great job of reflecting the season, I'm still hopeful it will and the summer vibe is in the air anyway! And, since there's not much we can do about the weather, might as well turn our attention elsewhere!
How about turning our attention to the subject of happiness? After all, it seems like summer begs us to be present to the feeling of being happy, doesn't it? I call this the "Summertime mode".
Before I go any further, I want to once again thank you for taking your valuable time in reading my e-newsletters and various updates, as I know there are many places where you can take your reading focus.
I appreciate your interest, as my intention is to provide you with information, inspiration and opportunities that support you in creating the life you truly desire.
I have a great article for you to read and lots of fun links to click on, and I'm continuing to offer the Free Breakthrough the Challenge of Change session, so keep reading for your summer pleasure!

Is Happiness Eluding You?
What is happiness anyway? Is it possible to be happy even amidst life's challenges? Why is the pursuit of happiness important?
These are questions that have been pondered through the ages of humanity. Happiness can be defined differently depending on who you are, your life's experiences, your expectations and your beliefs.
I don't believe there is any "right" answer to any of theses questions, but being happy, feeling happy seems to be a state that most of us like to experience.
This subject has presented itself to me as I've been reflecting on my own life over the last few months. My husband and I just came back from a most incredible magical vacation in Italy with my lifelong friend, Cheryl Metrick and her husband, Richie and another dear friend, Sheila.
Cheryl and Richie have been going to this marvelous place for the last 20 years. Whenever they talked about it, their faces lit up with such joy. It truly has been a haven for them, especially for Richie. I guess I would say this place seemed to touch the happiness button in their hearts.
Richie has been ill for the last year and this trip was especially important to him. Even as he dealt with the discomfort of his illness, he still got so "lit up" just knowing how we would enjoy it, too! And enjoy it we did, more than words could ever describe! I believe this beautiful place and experience touched the happiness buttons in our hearts as well.
Then as we shared our actual experiences with him, that we were having in his beloved Positano, Italy, we knew he, too was experiencing happiness, even if only for those moments.
Isn't it amazing how we can generate-create that feeling of happiness just by thinking of something or someone that we have previously experienced as happy? Or even thinking about something we anticipate will feel happy?
So, if that's the case, what causes us to disconnect from that state? And, better yet, how can we keep returning to it or re-create it when it eludes us due to all the various "reasons" we have in life to be disconnected from it?
As I've addressed this issue on Happiness in the past, I'd like to refer you to some previous articles to continue pondering Happiness and how you can have it stop eluding you. I know Cheryl & Richie (and my husband and I as well now) have their "Positano" to open up and ignite their happiness buttons as one of their tools.

Check out these article and video links and and allow your "Happiness button" to be ignited and present so it will linger on way past the spirit of the "Summertime mode".Happiness Tool #1 Happiness Tool #2 Happiness Tool #3 Happiness Tool #4 Happiness Tool #5 Happiness Tool #6
